COMMUNICATIONS PERSON – Borough of Chester, Morris County- seeking a part time communications coordinator. Candidate should have solid prior experience utilizing social media, WordPress, and have good oral and written communications skills. You will help set the tone for our community. Therefore, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive, upbeat communication style. Background in public relations and municipal environments helpful, but not mandatory. Familiarity with local community preferred. Responsibilities would include the distribution of messages on Face Book, Twitter, and the Swift Reach platform, maintenance of WordPress website and social media pages, drafting letters and other communiques, coordination and expansion of e-mail lists, etc. Position will include interaction with elected officials, department heads and municipal employees.
